- My first year of Poppy Mountain was in the year 2001. I am very glad I did go because of what happened on September 11th. I was glad to be at this festival with people I know instead of being alone at home. I became good friends with Goldwing Express and made some other good friends. Hopefully my parents will let me go again this year so I can see Goldwin, Melvin Goins, and some other people I met last year.
